Understanding leads

Learn what Warm and Hot Leads mean, where to find them, and how to follow up at the right time.

What is a lead?

A lead is a buyer who has taken action on your Your Home Page. A buyer becomes a lead when they:

  • Enter their email to save or view more details on a listing
  • Request a tour
  • Contact you directly
  • Unlock full listing details

What's the difference between Warm and Hot Leads?

Warm Lead

  • Email captured, no phone number yet
  • Browsing but hasn't taken high-intent action

Hot Lead

  • Phone number captured
  • Actively engaged — has requested to contact you or schedule a tour

Warm Lead behaviors

Typical activity:

  • Clicked 1–2 posts
  • Viewed listing details
  • Spent time on your page but didn't save or inquire

How to respond:

  • Follow up within 24–48 hours
  • Send a friendly intro message
  • Offer to answer questions or schedule a showing

Hot Lead behaviors

Typical activity:

  • Viewed 3+ listings
  • Saved properties to their profile
  • Clicked "Contact Agent" or submitted an inquiry
  • Clicked "Schedule a tour"

How to respond:

Follow up within 1–4 hours — same day if at all possible. Reference the specific properties they viewed and offer an immediate next step: showing, call, or video tour.


Where do I view leads?

Go to Leads & Insights in your YHP dashboard. For each lead you'll see:

  • Name and contact info captured so far
  • Activity timeline — posts clicked, listings viewed
  • Lead temperature — Warm or Hot
  • Last active date

Click any lead to view their full activity profile.


What if a lead doesn't have contact info?

Buyers only need an email to start browsing listings. They'll be prompted to complete their profile — adding their name and phone number — when they:

  • Navigate to another listing
  • Favorite a listing
  • Click "Contact" or "Schedule a tour"

Lead classification:

  • Warm — email provided, browsing and engaging with content, but hasn't taken direct action like favoriting or contacting you
  • Hot — phone number provided by taking a high-intent action: unlocking listing details, clicking "Contact," or requesting a tour

Can I export my leads?

    1. Go to Leads & Insights.
    2. Click Export.

The export includes: name, email, phone (if provided), recent activity, status, source, and property.


What if a lead shows as Hot but hasn't contacted me?

This shouldn't happen — Hot leads are only those who have submitted a direct inquiry by clicking "Contact" or "Schedule a tour" and providing their phone number.

If you see a leaded marked as Hot who does not have a phone number, reach out to support@yourhomepage.ai so we can investigate.


Why am I not seeing any leads?

  • Confirm your page is live — at least one post linked and Instagram connected
  • Check that your YHP.link/ is in your Instagram bio
  • Make sure you're directing buyers to your link in your content — verbal CTAs in videos, captions, stories
  • Review your cover photos — are they clear and compelling?

If you're getting traffic but no leads, buyers may be browsing without entering their email. Make sure your content clearly communicates the value of engaging — tour requests, saved listings, exclusive details.
